Making Your Own Cleaners 101

We've been making our own cleaners for awhile now and have perfected some recipes we'd like to share with you. Our NM Aromatherapy essential oils make wonderful additions to your homemade cleaners. Using homemade cleaners is a natural and sustainable way of cleaning your home.


Multipurpose Cleaner (safe for granite):

You will need:

16oz spray bottle

approximately 15 oz of water

1 tablespoon of unscented dish or castile soap

10 drops of your choice of NM Aromatherapy essential oil blend


Place water in the bottle, and then the rest of the ingredients. Secure the nozzle and shake the bottle for about a minute.


Stainless Steel and Leather Cleaner:

You will need:

16oz spray bottle

approximately 15 oz of water (preferably distilled)

1 tablespoon of white vinegar

1 teaspoon of liquid coconut oil (it is essential that you use the liquid form)

10 drops of your choice of NM Aromatherapy essential oil blend


Place ingredients in the bottle. Secure the nozzle and shake the bottle for about a minute.


Wood Cleaner:

You will need:

16oz spray bottle

approximately 15 oz of water (preferably distilled)

1 tablespoon of white vinegar

1 teaspoon of liquid coconut oil (it is essential that you use the liquid form)


Place ingredients in the bottle. Secure the nozzle and shake the bottle for about a minute.


Glass Cleaner:

You will need: 16 oz spray bottle

approximately 8 oz of water

approximately 8 oz of white vinegar


Place water and vinegar in the bottle. Secure the nozzle and shake the bottle for about a minute.
